If I Told You

Sci-Fi Drama Short Film

2025

Description

If I Told You is a sci-fi drama about a woman caught in a loop, replaying the conversation she needs to have with her father and searching for a closure he won't give her. In the end, she has to find it on her own. Co-written with Isa Martinez and shot in Toronto, it is a personal story and a proof of concept for a longer piece.

The Ask

A personal story we needed to tell that includes closure, family, and the conversations we keep replaying in our heads.

The Work

I co-wrote the film with Isa Martinez and directed it, shooting over three days in Toronto with a crew of about 20.

The Results

Official selection at the Toronto International Short Film Festival, and a proof of concept for a longer piece.
